What is being saved? What is obtaining salvation? Previously, I thought as long as we confess and repent our sins before God, and are forgiven of our sins, we are then saved. However, when thinking of ourselves who still often sin due to being bounded by sinful nature, I feel confused, wonder how such kind of people can enter the kingdom of heaven. God is holy and righteous, God loathes our corrupt dispositions as well as impurities within us, such corrupt persons are not qualified to enter God’s kingdom. As long as we cast off our sins thoroughly and become a purified person, we can be praised by God and brought into a beautiful destination. So, we can say that being saved doesn’t mean obtain salvation, a man merely being saved can’t to be raptured into the kingdom of heaven. How can walk on the right track that is in line with God’s will? How can we obtain salvation and enter into the kingdom God prepares for us? Many people believe that by believing in the Lord Jesus their sins are absolved, that they are saved through their faith, and furthermore that once someone is saved they are saved forever, and once the Lord returns they can be raptured and can enter the kingdom of heaven. Yet the Lord Jesus said, "Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven" (Matthew 7:21). These people who call "Lord, Lord" are all people who have been saved through their faith in the Lord, so why is it that not every one of them can enter the kingdom of heaven? What is going on here?
