In the Lord Jesus' prophecy about His return, He mentioned two types of people: the wise virgins and foolish virgins. The wise virgins pay attention to hearing God's voice, and they will welcome the Lord and be raised up before God's throne, while the foolish virgins will miss the opportunity to greet the Lord and fall into the great tribulation, wailing and gnashing their teeth. Both are awaiting the Lord, but why will the foolish virgins be eliminated by the Lord? Look back to 2000 years ago when the Lord Jesus came to work, the Pharisees merely waited for the Messiah according to the words of the Bible prophecies yet did not focus on listening to the voice of the Lord. No matter how profound the Lord Jesus' sermons were, they refused to accept Him as long as He was not called the Messiah. The end result was that they crucified the Lord Jesus and were punished by God. It can be seen that the foolishness of the foolish virgins is that they kept to their notions and didn't listen for God's voice. As various disasters come down one after another, it is now the last days, the crucial moment to welcome the Lord’s return. The Lord said, "He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches"(Revelation 2:7). “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3:20). "And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him"(Matthew 25:6). Seen from these verses, the Lord will utter words when He returns. The Lord requires that we should actively seek to hear the voice of God when we hear the news of the Lord's return. Only thus can we have the chance to welcome the Lord and receive the salvation of God in the last days. Just as the Lord Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me"(John 10:27). "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you"(Matthew 7:7-8).
