1 People’s prayers are also a sort of conduit through which the Holy Spirit works. When people pray and seek while in the right state, the Holy Spirit will also be working simultaneously. This is a sort of harmonious cooperation between God and humanity from two different perspectives; in other words, it is God helping people deal with certain issues. This is a type of cooperation from humans when they come before God; it is also a type of method by which God saves and cleanses people. Moreover, it is the path for people’s proper entry into life, and it is not a kind of ceremony. The significance of prayer is deeply profound! If you pray often, and if you know how to pray—frequently praying both submissively and reasonably—then your internal state will be always proper.

When praying by yourself, the words you use must be earnest and serious; only in this way can you be normal in the presence of Christ. How should people come before God? Through prayer and through introspection to see how to speak with reason, how to speak from a human position, and how to speak from the heart. Do not say things that merely sound nice or that attempt to deceive God. If you practice this for a while, you will know how to pray to God and fellowship with Him, and it will then be easy for you to gain the work of the Holy Spirit.
